This book was devastating in the most incredible way. I needed to stare at the wall for 5-7 business days to process what I read.
Check your triggers, this one is intense – this is a true dark romantasy. This book had some really unexpected twists and turns. The writing is poetic, the characters are well developed and realistically flawed. I wish there was slightly more world-building though, I imagine some of that may change in Book 2.
Miriella, the FMC, is the bastard daughter of the King, and she is the “expendable” one. She’s been ignored her whole life and now she must marry the enemy king. But not everything is what it seems.
She is married, bound by blood and chains to her cruel new husband.
